Big South Fork

On Saturday, we drove about 3.5 hours to Big South Fork National River and Recreation Area in north eastern Tennessee. We hiked about 3 miles round trip to Slave Falls and Needle Arch and I think it was my favorite hike so far in Tennessee. It was so beautiful and lush, it reminded me of a tropical rain forest as we hiked down closer to the falls. Wade hiked to Twin Arches on his own while we entertained the tuckered out little ones. I didn't get to see much of the park, but from the little I did see, I would highly recommend it to anyone. Wade also said the Twin Arches hike was even better than the Slave Falls one (although much shorter).
