old stone fort state archeological park

January 3, 2009 we took another family outing to Old Stone Fort State Archeological Park with some friends. It is a 2000 year-old American Indian ceremonial site (which is now all covered with dirt).

Hiking

Some of the waterfalls.

There is moss everywhere in TN, even in January.

  2. How fun! My parents used to do the same with us growing up-take us to all of the historical sites when we lived on the east coast. Then when we moved from Maryland to NV, we stopped just about everywhere along the way. I will never forget those memories as I'm sure you're boys won't either!
