...brought historic floods (I'm still working up a great post on that), a trip to China (more on that later), two birthdays, a kindergartner transformed into a first grader, and a visitor from the West!
During May, Peter turned 6 and graduated from Kindergarten! His first year of school was a great success: he learned and improved a lot, made friends and behaved himself most of the time, and absolutely loved it!
He was awarded a science award for being a super scientist! He tells us frequently that he wants to be a scientist when he grows up (just like his dad). It's actually a good way to motivate him to work hard. We just tell him that scientists have to be good at reading, math, cleaning up, etc.
With some friends in his class on the last day of Kindergarten at Gower Elementary.
With Ms. Weickenand, one of his fabulous teachers (he had two teachers who team taught- Mrs. Brandt is not pictured, but she was also AMAZING!). Pete was so lucky to have such great teachers for his first year of school!
Jack is looking forward to school too (in a couple of years).
May also brought a visit from Grandma Carol.
